Cortinarius violaceus subsp. harcynicus (Pers.)Brandr.

An entirely violet cortinar with a velvety and finely squamulose surface. This sub-species grows in Picea forests. The type, C. violaceus (L.:Fr.)Gray, found in frondose woods, is also the type of the genus Cortinarius. France, Doubs, La Rivière, Drugeon.
